About Supreme Heroes
It’s time to vote for your favourite community hero as the Supreme Ventures Foundation wraps up the first staging of its acclaimed Supreme Heroes programme!
The programme, which began in 2020, celebrates the unsung heroes we all know and love who go above and beyond to assist the needy in their community.
Our first set of heroes for the 2020/2021 cohort are:
- Life Yard Restaurant and Eco-Tourism in Parade Gardens, Kingston
- New Horizons Christian Outreach in Spanish Town
- Miss T’s Hardware run by Elma Thompson in Granville, St James
- Miss Jenny’s Cornershop operated by Jennifer Brown in Flankers, St. James.
Each hero used a grant from the SVF to work on a community project and also focused on capacity building training provided through the Mona Entreprenuerial Commercialisation Centre, MECC at the Mona Business School, exposing the heroes to the intricacies of business registration, taxation, brand building and a host of other administrative tactics.
Help them receive an even bigger grant to change more lives in their communities. Watch the videos and cast your vote, Jamaica! The next SVF Supreme Hero is up to you!
